City Administrator

The City of Rice Administrator is the chief administrator of the City and is appointed by City Council. Listed below are just a few of the responsibilities.
- Overseeing the performance of all City departments
- Implementing policies and ideas adopted by City Council
- Ensuring that all projects, operations, and functions of the City operate efficiently
- Ensuring all Local, State, and Federal laws are followed by the City
- Responding to citizen concerns
The Administrator also works to develop the City's annual budget, works with other administrators in the region, and performs other duties assigned to the city administrator per the request from City Council.

The City Finance Clerk is responsible for:
- Preparing official reports and financial records, including the city budget and ledger, and general bookeeping.
- Overseeing tax and revenue collection.
- Managing city meetings, recording as needed and taking meeting minutes as needed.

The Municipal Clerk serves as the link between City Council and citizens as well as between the City Administrator and city employees. The office of Municipal Clerk for the City of Rice provides clerical, record keeping and administrative functions to the City Council and the City Manager.
