City of Rice Hosts Back to School for Rice ISD Students

Make sure your students are ready to start the school year with everything they need! The City Rice will be handing out backpacks and school supplies to Rice ISD students (be sure to bring your I.D./proof of address).

May 4th is Election Day, voting takes place at Rice City Hall from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. The City of Rice will be voting for Mayor and 3 open positions for City Council. There are 5 candidates running for City Council, and Mayor Christi Campbell is running uncontested.

The community came together in downtown Rice, Texas to experience this once in a lifetime event. From Maine to Mexico, and beyond, many people saw the total solar eclipse.
