Planning & Zoning
The Planning & Zoning Commission works as an advisory group for the Rice City Council. Members review proposed amendments to zoning ordinances, site plans and plat applications, and make recommendations to the Council regarding current and future development of the City of Rice.
Rice Community Economic Deveoplment Corporation
The Rice EDC is appointed by the City Council to use a percentage of city sales tax dollars to invest in projects that support community and business development. The Rice EDC is committed to attracting and strengthening local business enterprise, providing products and services for our citizens, encouraging job creation, and promoting and facilitating a cohesive commercial and residential development plan.
